Martin is a transactional attorney with over 30 years of experience in entity formation, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, reorganizations, as well as venture capital and private equity investment, commercial lending, real property and equipment sales and leasing, technology licensing and other business transactions. He advises business entities on matters of employment, entity governance, and investor relations. A former Certified Public Accountant, Martin has many years of experience in taxation. He assists business entities in structuring transactions in a tax-efficient manner, and represents taxpayers in administrative and judicial tax controversies involving Federal and state income, sales and other taxes.
Martin holds the highest Martindale-Hubbell peer review rating (AV Preeminent®), and is licensed to practice law in Connecticut and New York. He is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, the American Health Lawyers Association, and is a James Cooper Fellow of the Connecticut Bar Foundation. Martin lives in Trumbull, Connecticut with his wife, Genevieve. When not practicing law, he enjoys skiing, running, and fingerstyle guitar.
