Joe Licare is an experienced commercial litigator, equally adept at representing plaintiffs and defendants. Joe practices in state and federal courts throughout New York, and he is skilled in handling all phases of litigation, from the initial investigation and pleadings to dispositive motion practice.
Joe has handled a diverse array of matters, including contract disputes, quiet title disputes, consumer mortgage matters (loan origination and servicing), fraud, misrepresentation, predatory lending and deceptive trade practices. He represents a wide array of clients, including financial institutions, real estate investors, global corporations and regional businesses.
After growing up in Westchester County, Joe enjoyed “small-town” life in central Pennsylvania where he attended Bucknell University. Thereafter, he returned home to obtain his MBA in finance at Iona College and law degree at St. John’s University. While awaiting admission to practice law, Joe worked in the law department for the Honorable Alan D. Scheinkman, where he remained as a senior court attorney post-bar admission. After serving the public sector for four years, Joe transitioned to private practice as a litigator at Bryan Cave LLP and Hogan Lovells US LLP.
Joe lives in Harrison with his wife (a nurse at Greenwich Hospital) and their three children.
